For the purpose of disease prevention, timely diagnosis and treatment on an outpatient or inpatient basis, any citizen can contact the Saint Petersburg State University Hospital (hereinafter referred to as the Clinic) and receive medical services on a paid basis.
Medical assistance to citizens is provided in accordance with a valid licence directly in the divisions of the Clinic.
To receive information about the time of appointment with doctors of all specialities; the procedure for booking an appointment with doctors; and the time and place of reception of citizens by the administration of the Clinic, you should call a multi-channel telephone of the Clinic’s Call Centre: +7 812 676 25 25 (St Petersburg) or 8-800-250-30-32 (toll-free within Russia) from 8am to 8pm Moscow time.
You can book an appointment by making a phone call to the abovementioned phone numbers or leaving your message on the website: www.gosmed.ru (button: BOOK AN APPOINTMENT). The message should contain the name of the service, including a type of examination and a specialist profile for consultation, and the date and time convenient for the patient.
There are three ways to book an appointment with our Clinic’s doctors:

- 3. By booking an appointment at the Clinic’s reception

During the initial visit to the Clinic, you can book an appointment with a specialty doctor if the diagnosis is known, or the nature of the disease is obvious, and with a general practitioner for a preliminary diagnosis and a comprehensive examination.

The doctor will be waiting for you on the appointed day and time at the address specified by the receptionist.

A receptionist helps you choose the time of appointment with a doctor in accordance with the appointment schedule and taking into account the free time available in the doctor’s appointment schedule.

In the absence of the doctor, the receptionist informs you about this and provides the opportunity to book an appointment with a substitute doctor for the desired date and (or) time.
When booking an initial appointment, consultation or examination by phone, you should inform a receptionist:

1. When receiving services for cash: full name, date of birth, registration address, and contact phone number.

2. When receiving services under the compulsory medical insurance: full name, date of birth, registration address, contact phone number, details of your compulsory medical insurance.

3. When receiving services under the voluntary medical insurance: full name, date of birth, registration address, contact phone number, details of your voluntary medical insurance, name of the insurance company.
When booking an initial appointment, consultation or examination during a personal visit, you should provide a receptionist with:

1. When receiving services for cash: your passport.

2. When receiving services under the compulsory medical insurance: your passport, policy, SNILS, a referral from a general practitioner.

3. When receiving services under the voluntary medical insurance: your passport, the voluntary medical insurance.
During the initial/repeated treatment, you MUST provide an identity document (passport), sign the consent to the processing of personal data, depending on the type of medical services received − other kinds of consents, and make an advance payment for an appointment with a doctor, diagnostics or therapy. After receiving medical care, you receive recommendations for further examination and treatment. The doctor makes a medical conclusion based on the consultation results at the end of the appointment. The results of the examination are given after the doctor’s description.
The doctor determines the appointment time allotted for a patient in the Clinic, but not more than the established time in the schedule. The appointment time may be shifted when holding joint consultations by doctors.
In the event of a sudden illness of the attending doctor and /or other emergency circumstances, the receptionist of the Clinic informs you about this as soon as possible at the contact phone number provided by you (it is essential to check the phone number written in the card).
You should be at the doctor’s appointment at the appointed time. If you cannot come at the appointed time, it is necessary to inform the clinic receptionists by phone for at least 2 hours: +7 812 676 25 (St Petersburg) or 8 800 250 30 32. When a patient is late, the clinic reserves the right to refuse the service with the possibility of providing the service on another day.

Each patient receives a complete set of documents.
- An epicrisis
- Results of diagnostic tests with interpretation.
- An outpatient medicine treatment plan.
- Doctor’s recommendations for further treatment or maintenance of the patient’s health.
- A sick leave certificate is issued in case of incapacity for work. A sick leave certificate is registered in accordance with the procedure for issuing a certificate of incapacity for work.
- A referral to inpatient treatment, if necessary.
- A set of payment documents.
